Improve your agency team’s personal branding.

Communications professionals go to great lengths to make brands famous, but rarely make the same efforts for themselves. We need to be trusted by clients, prospects, journalists and even colleagues. It’s time to get better at boosting your own reputation through a solid personal brand.

Without a strong identity as a PR professional, you may miss out on opportunities such as working with new clients, attracting good staff and growing your existing accounts.

In 90 minutes, we’ll show you how to use your PR skills to define your personal brand and decide how to go about representing and promoting yourself as part of an agency team. You’ll also get advice from an insider at LinkedIn on how to boost your online brand.

WORKSHOP CONTENT AND HOSTS

Step 1 - Discover your personal brand.

EMILY MURPHY-WEARMOUTH, PR CONSULTANT AND COACH

Explaining who you are and how you make a difference to the world is an essential skill for agency professionals at all levels. Emily will walk you through an approach to defining and expressing your personal brand proposition convincingly and without sounding like a muppet.

Step 2 - Create your personal-brand canvas.

LITON ALI,  BRAND CONSULTANT AND LEARNING DESIGNER

Wouldn’t this personal branding malarkey be easier if you had a template? You will use a messaging structure adapted from PR for your personal brand. This will also help you plan which topics, thoughts and ideas you should showcase through your social channels.

Step 3 - Optimise your online profile.

ALEX CHARRAUDEAU, MEDIA SOLUTIONS AT LINKEDIN

Your LinkedIn profile’s not a CV, it’s the first thing your clients are likely to visit if they Google you. Alex will give you some insight into what makes a LinkedIn profile work well and teach you some important tactics that will help you get your profile into a shape that helps your business.

Look better, sound better, perform better.
